Grounded mahleb is a type of spice obtained by drying and grinding the seeds of ripe fruits that grow on the mahleb tree. Mahleb is grown in Southern Europe, Western and Northern Asia in the world. In Türkiye, it is grown in Tokat, Amasya, Çorum, Mardin, Van, Ordu and Erzurum. Mahleb contains fiber, protein, fatty acids, calcium, potassium and magnesium.
