Hayfene
Our family’s trade story, which began in the 1500s, over time led our family to the corners of
the Istanbul – Egypt – Malatya triangle. In 1886, the foundations of our current business
were laid by the great-grandfather of our grandfather. In this journey that started with Hacı
Ali Efendi, we were first known by our grandfathers’ names and then as Ucuzcular. As the
fifth-generation representatives of our business, we are building the future of the next five
generations under the name Hayfene. Our business is a gift from our grandfathers, and our
name is a gift from our grandmother. Hayfene is the name given in the Malatya region to a
game where children gather food from neighboring houses and set up a picnic. As the
Hayfene family, just like in this game, we aim to bring people together around food, and by
offering healthy and delicious foods, to make everyone experience the spirit of togetherness
and joy of Hayfene.

We produce delicious and healthy food products, primarily spices, herbal teas, herbal oils,
sauces, nuts, and dried fruits, and we sell them through digital channels and our retail
stores.

my teammates in order for Hayfene to be a leading brand in its sector.
Honesty: I tell the truth to my teammates and customers and stand behind what I say. I do
not make promises I cannot keep. I do not mislead or misguide my customers. In situations
that have the potential to create problems, I do not say, “I’ll figure it out somehow anyway.”
Instead, I inform people and actively seek solutions.
Sincerity: The foundation of our business since 1886 is a merchant culture. This culture
allows me to establish sincere relationships with my teammates and customers. I do not
work mechanically or by strictly following a script. I work as a person who is aware of this
sincere culture and make my customers feel it.
Valuing People: I am aware that the focus of our business is “people.” Regardless of income
level, appearance, or the service or amount purchased, all people are valuable to me.
Neither position nor wealth makes one customer more valuable than another. Therefore, I
treat everyone who visits Hayfene stores or reaches us by phone or other means with the
same level of respect.
Quality: Quality in the products and services we offer is our priority. I do not offer products
and services that do not comply with our quality standards to our customers. I fulfill my
responsibility in maintaining and improving quality standards across the company and guide
my teammates.
Health: I am aware that one of the most important needs of our society is healthy eating,
and that one of the main reasons our customers choose us is access to healthy products.
Therefore, I offer healthy products, guide our customers appropriately, and direct them to
experts in areas where I am not knowledgeable. My priority is not making sales, but correctly
responding to our customers’ need to consume healthy products.
Contribution: In addition to properly fulfilling the tasks assigned to me, I contribute to the
development of our business, our team, and our company.
Team Spirit: I am a member of a team. I am aware that it is not enough for me to work in the
best way; the team must work as a whole in the best way. Therefore, I do everything
necessary to keep the team together, ensure it works in the best way, and support its
development. My focus is collaboration. I am flexible in my work, and if my methods do not
work, I do not hesitate to change them. I ask for help when I need it, and I do not hesitate to
help when needed.
Responsibility: I am responsible for all my actions and their consequences in both my work
and personal life, as well as for what I possess. I am responsible for what I do, and I know
that in order to change something, I must first change myself. Therefore, I do not blame
others or make excuses regarding my problems; I work towards solutions.
